Elfriede

Elfriede is a convert, meaning she was a human turned into a vampire. She grew up on the outside of the village with her mother, Eliza, in a house by her uncle. This was near a dark forest, where it was rumored monsters lived. In Volume 6 Chapter 35, she states that her parents went into the forest one day and only her mother returned. Her mother also returned pregnant with Elfriede. Elfriede enjoyed spending time in the forest due to the quietness of it. Because of this, people in her village began spreading rumors about her. It is also shown that she is bullied by children in the village. In Volume 6 Chapter 37, it is also shown that they dump pig's blood on her and her new clothing.
