Gen Nakaoka

Gen is from Japan, Hiroshima and he was one of the survivors of the nuclear bombings. At age six, Gen survived the atomic bomb because he was behind the wall when he was talking to a woman. When he woke up, he was horrified by the destruction of Japan and the humans burned and died at the spot. He managed to find Kimie who is trying to save her husband, Eiko and Shinji, but taking advise of his father's words to take care of Kimie and the baby, they were forced to leave them. Seeing his mother about to give birth after quite a shock, Gen helps deliver the baby.
