He’s Akane’s childhood friend and his loyalty to Akane is unquestionable. The relationship between him and Mashiro is rather troublesome, since Mashiro doesn’t seem to take things seriously, he thinks it may hurt Akane and the band's reputation. He’s the serious type and is very strict with anything band-related. He thinks that as a pro they should act as one (especially Mashiro).
