She is in Class 1-C at along with her friend Konori Shindou. Mai lives with her mother, father and sister, and has helped out with the family bath house business since she was 6 or 7 years old. She and Kunimitsu Hasuga have been friends since an early age and has helped him train for football for many years. This has also benefited her, as she has subconsciously been improving her own skills too. They are also next door neighbours.
