Scarlet is Claire Rouge's current contracted spirit, a high-level fire elemental spirit whose elemental waffe is «Flame Tongue», a whip. Her true name is Ortlinde, the «Scarlet Valkyrie», a powerful fire spirit who can assume a human form.
