コトハ

Kotoha (コトハ, Kotoha) is one of the main characters in the series and a Unemezoku. Like all the other females in the Unemezoku family, she can use her healing ability to heal people in Arata's group. She had romantic feelings for Arata but shifts to Hinohara when Arata rejected her, and is the first person to have belief in Hinohara.

カンナギ

Kannagi (カンナギ, Kannagi) is a member of the Twelve Shinshou. He plays as an antagonist during the first few arcs of the series while leading a manhunt towards Arata, later on he joins Hinohara's group and becomes one of the main characters. He is the Shinshou of Fire who wields the blazing Hayagami, Homura.

アラタ

Arata (アラタ, Arata) is a male Himezoku member whom was labeled as a female in the government by Makari in order to prevent him from getting eliminated. At the succession ceremony, he witnesses Kikuri's assassination and is quickly framed for murder. He runs into the Kando Forest, where he switches places with Arata Hinohara from modern-day Japan. He and Hinohara are able to contact each other once in a while link through the princess' two charms which Kotoha had given them both.

カナテ

Kanate (カナテ, Kanate) is the first person Arata Hinohara met along the journey. Kanate was once former member of a bandit gang and had a sole purpose for joining Arata's group. Later on, Kanate fulfill his purpose as becoming a Shou and left Hinohara and the others in chapter 73. Kanate observes Kadowaki's actions, and later (under Ikisu's influence) he submits to him.

オンメ

ヒルコ

Hiruko is friendly and cheerful toward the people in Suzukura when under the disguise as "Suehiro". Inside of how he feels as Hiruko, he disdain human for their selfishness and greediness, this he deduct people's handful taxes for almost absolute no reason. Most of the time he slightly shows a inscrutable expression whenever people are talking about Hiruko, not knowing they are talking directly to the real Hiruko who is a disguise as Suehiro. Later, Hinohara teaches Hiruko that people like him for his personality, not just because he gave them jobs. Hiruko willingly submits to Arata Hinohara and tells him he believes Hinohara will save Himeou.

門脇将人

Masato Kadowaki (門脇 将人, Kadowaki Masato) is the major antagonist of the series. He is the former best friend and now bully of Arata Hinohara. He had a intense hatred toward Hinohara since middle school, therefore he plays the major antagonist in the series. After Hinohara helps him defenseless against Ameeno, it is uncertain that Kadowaki now regrets about Hinohara.

オヒカ

Ohika is a kind-hearted individual and one of Kannagi's trusted Zokushou. Unlike Kannagi, Ohika is calm and courteous and he overly trust strangers. A lot of the other Zokushou are completely uncomfortable with his personally and disagree with his thoughts of living in peace.

キクツネ

Kikutsune (キクツネ, Kikutsune) is one of the Six Shinshou members whose face was revealed preceded by Harunawa and the second to do so. He is the Shou of Kisaru.
