The country of Pars (a dead-ringer, geographically and culturally to ancient Persia) is embroiled in a war with the neighboring country of Lusitania and its religious zealots. The young Crown Prince, Arslan, begins a quest to reunite the shattered armies of Palse with his loyal general, Daruun, and a cadre of servants, commoners, and nobles, and he uses his charisma to forge alliances with neighboring countries in order to one day regain the land of his home.

Arslan
アルスラーン
MAINArslan (アルスラーン, Arusurān) was the adopted son of King Andragoras and Queen Tahamenay. He was the crown prince of Pars and the leader of the resistance against the Lusitanian invasion of Pars. Arslan would become the greatest man of his time, leading his camp against Zahhāk's forces, driving back the Lusitanians, and reforming the Kingdom. He was the nineteenth and last King of Pars and became known as the Savior King.

Daryun
ダリューン
MAINDaryun was a Marzbān of Pars and one of the first members of Camp of Arslan that fought against the Lusitanian invasion. He later became the Erān of Pars, after Arslan's relieving Kishward from his duty as Erān.

Narsus
ナルサス
MAINNarsus was one of the members of the Camp of Arslan that fought against the Lusitanian invasion. He was Arslan's adviser, Daryun's close friend and the former chief adviser in the court.

Gieve
ギーヴ
MAINGieve (ギーヴ, Gīvu) was a traveling musician, womanizer and skilled bowman and swordsman. He joined the Camp of Arslan out of his infatuation with Farangis, but later showed true sympathy for the young prince and was curious about what kind of kingdom he would make.

MAINFarangis is an inversed derivative of the Shahnameh's character's original name, Wispan-Friya, which is a Middle Persian compound meaning "beloved by all".

Elam
MAINElam (エラム, Eramu) was Narsus's attendant and a member of the Camp of Arslan that fought against the Lusitanian invasion.

Hilmes
銀仮面卿
MAINHilmes (ヒルメス, Hirumesu) was the adopted son of King Osroes V and a non-blood related cousin of Arslan. He joined the Lusitanian Army and became a high commander in order to invade Pars and claim the throne.

MAINShe had short red hair and matching red eyes. She had two red markings on her cheeks, similar to other members of the Zott Tribe. She wore a blue scarf on her head. She wore a salmon colored shirt under her orange cape. She sported a metal spaulder on her left shoulder and her left arm was covered in metal decorations.

SUPPORTINGTahamenay is a beautiful woman long, blonde hair and light blue eyes. Most of her incarnations from the different adaptations depict her in a similar way. On the other hand, she has black hair in the original novel. It is said that her striking beauty was the reason for several nobles to betray and kill each other for her hand.
