The only daughter of a poor aristocrat in Florence. Though she rushes a lot and has a strong sense of defeat, she has a hard-working personality. When she was a child, she was given various lessons from her parents, but became absorbed in drawing, which was one of them, and loved drawing more than anything else. she volunteers to become a disciple of Leo in order to overcome her mother's opposition and fulfil her dream of becoming a painter.

レオ

The master of the painter's workshop where Arte works. Although he is usually unfriendly and strict, he treats Arte with meritocracy, regardless of her gender. He superimposes himself as a former apprentice on Arte's single-minded appearance and makes her a disciple.

カタリーナ

The daughter of the Fariel family, prestigious aristocrats in Venice, and Yuri's niece. At the request of her uncle Yuri, Arte will be her tutor of etiquette. She loves cooking.

ヴェロニカ

A cortisana (luxury sex worker). A customer of Leo's workshop who asks Leo for a portrait. Interested in Arte, who is trying to be independent while being a woman like herself, she becomes a good confidant of Arte who is worried.

ダーチャ

A seamstress and farmer's daughter, she has been working as a seamstress since she was 11 years old. Although she was jealous of Arte who was from an aristocratic family, she was impressed by the girl's efforts and began to learn how to read and write letters with Arte.

ダフネ

A servant of the Fariel family. Since Arte's approach in her work is different from the other tutors so far, she became interested and gradually began to cooperate with her.

アイリーン

Azucena was originally an orphan from a rural village who's parents died from unfortunate circumstances. After her parent's death, her father's friends took care of her in their places. However, this wasn't done out of kindness, but they wanted a slave who could help them doing works and earn money for them. During Azucena's stay on those married couple's house, they never once treated her as a human being but treated her like some kind of pet instead. At one point, Azucena was even sexually assaulted by the married couple's sons as well, in which she never report it to the couples because she knew full well that they won't help her.
