Most normal humans use only 30% of their brains, but a group of people known as the "Dokeshi" can use 50 to 60% of their brains, and thus have special abilities. These powers, however, come with a price: the Dokeshi must observe certain restrictions. Ignoring these rules can lead to the loss of something precious from within. In young Shotaro's case, he has to stick to doing one good deed every day! In the central town of Toykyo, he meets a girl named Mana, and together they go on a journey to find Shotaro's childhood friend Emine. Will Shotaro be able to do good daily or will he succumb to laziness on his journey?

MAINYohei Nanami (七海 陽平 Nanami Yōhei), also spelled Yowhey Nanami, is a human known as a mechanical genius, an inventor of numerous robots and other machines. Previously a member of the Dokeshi Hunt, he avoided trusting others and making friends after his teammates were killed by NoFix. He then became an inventor for hire for the Fear Factory, but after discovering their plans to take over the world with his invention, the Fear Robot, he escaped and joined Shotaro's group. He is one of the protagonists of B. Ichi.

MAINMana Hinoki is a 16-year-old human girl from Chugoku who accompanies Shotaro on his journey to find his missing friend Emine. She is one of the protagonists of B. Ichi.
ノフィックス
SUPPORTINGNoFix (ノフィックス Nofikkusu) is a homicidal Dokeshi who works for the Masked Assembly. Known as the King of Spin, he has the power to make anything he touches spin. This ability to spin also allows him to spin his cells to heal rapidly, which may or may contribute to his insanity. It is not yet known what is his daily condition.
