In this approximation of another world, human-controlled fighters compete in the annual Cosmetics Awards, aiming to commercialize the aesthetic techniques (cosmetics) they wear, gain funding, and gain status. Fighter Noel is a boy with no ambition or motivation, and no sense of purpose in life. But when he meets Farmer, a dropout girl who works at a low-cost manufacturer but is constantly scolded for "lacking aesthetic sense," Noel takes another step into the glittering world of fighting.
