Yoshino Himekawa (氷ひ芽め川かわ 四よ糸し乃の, Himekawa Yoshino) is the second Spirit saved by Shido Itsuka. She always carries a hand puppet named Yoshinon (よしのん, Yoshinon), which she values as her hero.

五河士道

Shido Itsuka (五いつ河か 士し道どう, Itsuka Shidō) is the protagonist of Date A Live. Gifted with a mysterious power that allows him to seal the powers of a Spirit in his body with a kiss, Shido works with the Ratatoskr organization to peacefully resolve the issue of Spirits by dating and making them fall in love.

時崎狂三

Kurumi Tokisaki (時とき崎さき 狂くる三み, Tokisaki Kurumi) is the third Spirit to appear. Due to her brutal actions, she is referred to as the Worst Spirit (最悪の精霊, Saiaku no Seirei). She is also the first Spirit to appear as an antagonist in the Date A Live series.

鳶一折紙

Origami Tobiichi (鳶とび一いち 折おり紙がみ, Tobiichi Origami) is one of the main female characters of the Date A Live series. She is Shido Itsuka's classmate, who is famous for her top grades, athleticism, and beauty. She is also a Wizard of the AST, determined to avenge her parents by killing Spirits, but later becomes the eighth Spirit to appear in the series.

五河琴里

Kotori Itsuka (五いつ河か 琴こと里り, Itsuka Kotori) is one of the main female characters of the Date A Live series. She is Shido's foster sister and secretly works as the commander of the Fraxinus airship. She is considered the fourth Spirit to appear, as her powers were not revealed when she first debuted.
