ネイト・リバー

Near (ニア, Nia) is the younger of L's two successors, raised in Wammy's House—Watari's orphanage for gifted children in Winchester, England. After L's death, Near begins his investigation of the Kira case, gathering evidence over a period of four years. Near takes his findings to the President of the United States and reveals himself to be the true successor of L. Soon after, Near becomes the head of the Special Provision for Kira and continues the hunt for Kira. After making contact with "L" (Light Yagami), Near begins to suspect that he is also Kira.

リューク

Ryuk (リューク, Ryūku) is a Shinigami who, after becoming bored with the Shinigami Realm, steals a second Death Note and drops it into the Human World. This Death Note is discovered by Light Yagami who uses it in an attempt to cleanse the world of evil and injustice. This leads to Light's conflict with L, Near and Mello, thus satisfying Ryuk's need for entertainment.

松田桃太

Matsuda has black hair and brown eyes. His hair hangs over his ears with bangs that hang primarily above his right eye. After the time skip his hair is shorter, though there is more hair covering his forehead. He has fair skin and is of average height.

Gevanni is a younger man with black hair. He lets his bangs hang down just over his light-blue eyes. He's always seen wearing a black suit and he often keeps a gun on his person.

ハル・ブロック

Halle is a tall, slender woman with golden-brown eyes and a fair complexion. She has medium-length blonde hair with choppy, straight-cut bangs, and she usually wears red lipstick. She wears business attire while working for both the SPK and Kiyomi Takada and is considered attractive by many. Her looks combined with her position as Takada's bodyguard cause her to be a popular figure in the media.

模木完造

Mogi is a tall, broad man who sports spiky, short, black hair. Like all members of the Task Force, he dresses formally in a suit and tie.

Ide has a short crop of black hair and small, light-colored eyes. He is normally seen wearing a green blazer with a red tie and white shirt underneath it. He also has no eyebrows.

アンソニー・カーター

Rester is a tall, well-built man with graying hair and grayish eyes. In the anime, his hair is light blond and his eyes are light blue. He maintains a kempt, professional appearance. He is usually seen wearing a white dress shirt and black tie with black trousers, and in the United States, he wears a shoulder holster.
