Tanjirou Kamado

竈門炭治郎

__Height:__ 165 cm (5'5") __Combat Style:__ Water Breathing & ~!Sun Breathing!~ Tanjirou is kind by nature and has been described by others as having very gentle eyes. He has a great deal of determination and will not give up once he has a goal to achieve, an example being finding a cure for [Nezuko](https://anilist.co/character/127518). Even though he is relatively strong on his own, he isn't opposed to asking others for help when he needs it. He is very protective of his friends and even more so of his younger sister. His biggest attribute is his ability to empathize with anyone, even demons. ~!Eventually, he discovers that he is a legendary Sun Breathing user.!~

Nezuko Kamado

竈門禰豆子

__Height:__ 153 cm (5'0") Transformed into a demon and left mute, Nezuko travels with her older brother [Tanjirou](https://anilist.co/character/126071/Kamado-Tanjirou) in a box on his back. She can change her size at will, and is a capable fighter when she needs to be, but has never killed or eaten any humans. Instead of gaining nourishment from humans, it seems that she recovers her energy by sleeping for long periods of time.

Inosuke Hashibira

**Height:** 164 cm (5'4") __Combat Style:__ Beast Breathing Inosuke is usually seen wearing a grey boar mask, with a shirtless version of the Demon hunter uniform. Without the mask he has messy shoulder length black hair and large green eyes with long eyelashes. He is described as having a girly looking face which greatly contrasts with his muscular body. Inosuke is extremely short-tempered and proud, and makes a big deal out of fighting opponents stronger than him claiming that's his only hobby. He is a sore loser and is always trying to compete with Tanjiro and provoke him into fighting him, and usually failing. Due to growing up in the mountains by himself Inosuke has trouble interacting with others and only cares about himself most of the time. Though he's often seen with 2 swords in hand, Inosuke is left-handed.

Shinobu Kochou

__Height:__ 151 cm (4'11") __Combat Style:__ Insect Breathing Shinobu is a demon slayer and the Insect Pillar of the Demon Killing Corps. She is 18 years old and one of two female pillars. Shinobu appears rather laid back, and always has a smile on her face regardless of the situation. Despite her relaxed exterior and her initial claim of wanting to get along with demons, she can be rather cruel and harbors a great deal of anger towards them. She is generally kind to other humans, but is rather sadistic in her treatment of demons. As a pillar, she is a top-class fighter despite her small stature. She is also well-versed in medical knowledge, and can concoct poisons and medicines alike. ~!During the Infinity Castle Arc, she encounters the Upper 2 demon [Douma](https://anilist.co/character/144591) and is slain by him in a fight. However, since she poisoned herself before the fight, Douma is severely incapacitated after eating her.!~

Tengen Uzui

__Height:__ 198 cm (6'6") __Combat Style:__ Sound Breathing A Demon Slayer, and the Sound Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps. Tengen is a very eccentric person, always wanting to complete actions as flashy as possible. Although he has displayed an uncaring and forceful attitude towards some people, he also has a caring side that is mainly only shown towards his most treasured ones, most notably his three wives, [Makio](https://anilist.co/character/250554), [Suma](https://anilist.co/character/250555), and [Hinatsuru](https://anilist.co/character/250556). He also shows a somewhat nicer side towards [Tanjiro](https://anilist.co/character/126071) after their mission and starts to accept him more as the series goes on.

Muichirou Tokitou

Muichiro Tokito (時 (とき) 透 (とう) 無 (む) 一 (いち) 郎 (ろう) , Tokitō Muichirō) is a major supporting character of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps and the Mist Hashira (霞 (かすみ) 柱 (ばしら) , Kasumi Bashira) of the Taisho era.

Obanai Iguro

Genya Shinazugawa (不死 (しなず) 川 (がわ) 玄 (げん) 弥 (や) , Shinazugawa Gen'ya) is a major supporting character of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a Demon Slayer in the Demon Slayer Corps and the younger brother of the Wind Hashira, Sanemi Shinazugawa.

Gyomei Himejima (悲 (ひ) 鳴 (め) 嶼 (じま) 行 (ぎょう) 冥 (めい) , Himejima Gyōmei) is a major supporting character of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps and the Stone Hashira (岩 (いわ) 柱 (ばしら) , Iwa Bashira) of the Taisho era. Gyomei also serves as the mentor of Genya Shinazugawa.
