Many years following his defeat and death, the evil tyrant Freeza is brought back to life by his remaining subordinates. At the same time, Goku and Vegeta train with the angel Whis in order to become stronger. These events eventually lead to Freeza's army invading Earth and the inevitable rematch between Goku and Freeza.
