クラウド・ストライフ

Cloud Strife is the playable protagonist of Final Fantasy VII. He is a former Shinra soldier from Nibelheim who became a mercenary for hire in the Midgar undercity which led to him joining AVALANCHE and opposing the forces of Shinra and his tormented past by his archrival Sephiroth.

レノ

Reno is a prominent member of the Turks who appears in the Final Fantasy VII series. His first appearance is in Final Fantasy VII, and has appeared in almost every media of the compilation: Before Crisis -Final Fantasy VII-, Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Final Fantasy VII Remake. He is often accompanied by fellow Turk and partner, Rude, and the two are implied to be friends despite their contrasting personalities.

バレット・ウォーレス

Barret Wallace is a playable character in Final Fantasy VII. He is the leader of an eco-group called AVALANCHE, trying to prevent Shinra from using Mako, the planet's life source, as a form of energy. However, his seemingly benevolent cause of fighting for the planet is a cover for his true personal vendetta and anger, which he later must come to terms with. Despite his brash and sometimes violent attitude, Barret has a good heart, and is torn between fighting and caring for his adopted daughter Marlene.{|summary="Contents" class="toc" id="toc" |

レッドXIII

Template:Quote Red XIII, real name Nanaki, is a red lion or wolf-like beast and one of the playable characters in Final Fantasy VII, who also appears in other entries to the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. Red XIII is the only quadrupedal playable character in the main Final Fantasy series.

Template:Quote Cid Highwind is a playable character in Final Fantasy VII who also appears in other titles of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. He is part of a long tradition of Final Fantasy characters named Cid, and owns an airship, the Highwind.

Rude is a member of the Turks who appears in the Final Fantasy VII series. His first appearance is in Final Fantasy VII, and has appeared in almost every media of the compilation: Before Crisis -Final Fantasy VII-, Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Final Fantasy VII Remake. Rude is rarely seen without his long-time partner Reno and is taciturn, tending to relegate the talking to Reno. He prefers to use his fists in battle.

ツォン

Tseng is the leader of the Turks in the Final Fantasy VII series. He first appeared in the original game, but has since appeared in Before Crisis -Final Fantasy VII-, prequel to Final Fantasy VII with the Turks as the main characters; in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-; and also appears in the OVA Last Order -Final Fantasy VII-, which depicts the events of the Nibelheim Incident from the Turks' point of view.
