Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End ~Prelude~

Frieren has an easy-going personality, but her aloofness leaves her a mystery to her peers, as humans and elves usually have different views on life. As an elf who has lived for at least a millennium, Frieren has a different sense of time, as reflected by her unchanging habit of lying in bed until very late in the morning, and her deeper inability to grasp the speed at which time passes for humans. This partly explains her seemingly detached attitude since lengthy lapses of time are too brief for her to forge meaningful bonds. For instance, after completing their adventure, Frieren casually offered to take her comrades to view the next Era Meteor Shower in fifty years, overlooking their shorter lifespans. She equally believed she knew nothing about Himmel the Hero, even up until his passing, since their 10-year journey felt rather momentary to her. However, following Himmel's funeral, she took the decision to try to know humans better.

フェルン

Fern has a mature personality as a result of her upbringing, leading her to often act as the mother of the party. She constantly has to help Frieren perform ordinary tasks such as waking her up due to her being a deep sleeper, feeding her, and dressing her, along with cleaning up her messes. She acts similarly around Stark, such as getting mad when he stays up late, even though they are around the same age.

シュタルク

Stark has a charismatic and kind personality, resulting in him being well-liked among the communities he frequents. He is often doted on by older villagers and is popular with kids, sometimes serving as a mentor or role model for them. Stark, in turn, holds a lot of compassion for them and is willing to risk his life to protect them from threats. Frieren trusts him, as she has willingly puts her life into his hands ever since she recruited him as a vanguard. He has been described by individuals, such as Sein, to be a good kid with a good heart.

アウラ

Aura is, as a demon, an articulate monster who is individualistic and harbors no sense of empathy. Even though she has her executioners as subordinates, she was not distressed in the slightest to learn of their demise. Typical of her race, she has strong confidence in the superiority of her magic and seems to enjoy battles where she thinks she has the upper hand. However, Aura has also shown to be a cautious person. When she is up against enemies whom she could not beat, such as the Hero Party, she will opt to choose to retreat instead of trying to face them head-on. This tendency contributed to her survival when the Demon King was defeated. She also makes sure to check for signs of mana instability in a mage and is aware of the history of renowned mages that she fights, such as Frieren.

ラヴィーネ

Lawine is usually calm and collected. However, her temper can have a very short fuse, especially with her childhood friend Kanne.

カンネ

Kanne is bright, friendly, and easy-going. She is able to chat easily with Frieren and Fern when she meets them. However, she can be timid and a little scared at times, such as when originally trying to practice Flight magic. She is the type to improve with praise, though Lawine claims this is a result of being spoiled by her parents growing up. According to Lawine, Kanne tries really hard even though she is a coward, works hard when others aren't looking, and is considerate of others.

ヒンメル

Himmel was a laid-back and amiable man, effortlessly getting along with others and forming strong interpersonal connections. Additionally, his unwavering dedication towards protecting people—his initial motivation to become a hero—and going above and beyond to help them left a lasting impression on his companions and encouraged them to follow in his footsteps of kindness and compassion. His charisma also impacted those he helped, leading them to revere and honor him, even long after his death.

フランメ

Frieren thought of Flamme as an unpleasant person and commented that Flamme "playing her like a fiddle" was the usual. She also called Flamme someone who was known to exaggerate.

リーニエ

Like all demons, Linie has no concept of human emotions. She is shown to be loyal to both Lügner and Aura, rarely speaking or acting out of turn except in response to threats unlike her counterpart, Draht. Like most demons, she is confident in her abilities and could not perceive the threats that enemies could pose to her, especially if they were human due to demons seeing them as inferior, eventually leading to her demise.

リュグナー

Lügner appears to be calm, laid-back and empathetic. He is forgiving of Frieren when she attacks him, and relates with Graf Granat about his deceased son. However, this is revealed to be a ruse. As a demon, Lügner is unable to experience human emotion. However, like the rest of his species, he demonstrates extreme pride in his magic and mana, even becoming furious and calling the way which Fern and Frieren suppress their mana despicable. In addition, Lügner is proficient at mimicking human emotion, as shown by the way he spins a lie to placate Graf Granat's anger about his deceased son. He is deceptive and confident in his magic and sensory capabilities.
