Energetic teenager Shuichi Shindo is the lead singer and songwriter for the smash-hit pop band, Bad Luck. He's recently moved in with his older boyfriend, Eiri Yuki, the handsome, sophisticated, and uber-famous romance novelist. Nothing goes smoothly for Shuichi, however. Yuki is inexplicably cold and cruel toward him, more so than usual; due to a rash of publicity appearances on comedy sketch shows, he can't get anyone to take his band seriously; and he's suddenly entered, totally unprepared, into a nationally televised concert with Bad Luck's rival band, Ask.

MAINHe's quite collected and acts appropriately, showing a good amount of manner and politeness in most situations. He's extremely caring of Shuichi, almost acting like a big brother for him. Despite being more of an introvert, his maturity allows him to get along with just about everyone; he has good relationships with most of his coworkers and friends at NG.

MAINTohma's relationship with his brother-in-law is a mix of intense affection and guilt over his own failure to protect him from the disaster when they were living in New York. He is over-protective of Eiri to the point where it becomes an obsession as he himself can't get over how he hired Yuki Kitazawa when he didn't know he was actually a pedophile that almost had Eiri raped until Eiri shot him as self defense, and there are several incidents that make it evident that between his business and Eiri, Eiri will always come first.

MAINDespite being the youngest amongst his coworkers, he shows a great deal of commitment to his career and has a much more professional image as opposed to Shuichi. While he considers both Shuichi and Hiro his friends, he shows little sympathy to either of them and tries not to get involved in Shuichi's or K's problems. Likewise, he doesn't share much about himself, either.
