Fujisawa’s latest hit GTO: 14 Days in Shonan revives his most beloved franchise by introducing a new challenge for his unique anti-hero, Eikichi Onizuka. After accidentally compromising his school’s reputation, Eikichi (a.k.a. the GTO) goes home to the peaceful shores of Shonan to lay low until the heat dies down. However, Shonan itself hasn’t escaped its own share of troubles, and Eikichi is inspired to help a group of troubled foster children get back on the track to happiness. Using humor and a person touch to teach today’s youth, Great Teacher Onizuka continues to impart life lessons while rarely testing kids in the classroom.

鬼塚英吉
MAINEikichi Onizuka (鬼塚 英吉, Onizuka Eikichi) is the 22 year old teacher and the central protaganist of the GTO series. A former leader of the Onibaku bike gang who controlled Shonan, Onizuka was heavily involved in a life of juvenile deliquency before graduating from a fifth rate university and aspiring to be a teacher. He is currently a teacher at Kissho/Holy Forest Academy because of his unconventional teaching methods towards Class 3-4, nicknamed the "problem class" because of their deferential attitude towards authority figures and their constant habit of hazing teachers (one former teacher ended up having a mental breakdown and ended up committed to a mental institution).

SUPPORTINGUrumi Kanzaki is a student belonging to Onizuka's homeroom class, Class 3-4. She does not attend school regularly and as a result is introduced in volume 7 of the manga and episode 16 in the anime. She is the childhood friend of both Tomoko Nomura and Miyabi Aizawa. She is the antithesis of the " dumb blond " stereotype, being a beautiful girl with naturally platinum blond hair and an IQ of over 200. Urumi has heterochromia, which is an eye condition that causes her eyes to be different colors. Her left eye is blue. Her right eye is brown. Despite her beauty and intelligence, Urumi is not very popular. Her classmates, with few exceptions, think she's a freak because of her IQ and because of her heterochromia. It also does not help that Urumi is known for " classroom terrorism ".
