Its near the end of the Heian era and Tamamo is a young noblewoman with curly hair something that is seen as ugly and strange. Fallen on hard times after the death of her father and sister because the actions of a cruel nobleman she dreams of revenge. She meets a young man Naoto who is kind and protective towards her. He has amibitions to become an Onmyouji. Due to various circumstances they release an evil fox spirit named Otsuka-sama who promises Nao that she can help her punish the nobles who mistreated her and destroyed her family. All that she requires is her soul.
