Vivi found Hana as a baby, abandoned at his castle during his second winter trip to the human world. At first, he was annoyed with her, due to her constant crying and his lack of knowledge about babies. However, when someone mentioned that she smiles like a flower, Vivi was moved by her smile and decided to keep her, and named her Hana (which means flower in Japanese). Vivi hired maids from the demon world to care for her and thought that she was merely a toy he could use to pass the time with. But as, she grew and started following him around with a smile on her face, he became emotionally attached to her and felt the fear of one day losing her.

Hana is a 14-year-old girl who lives in a isolated castle with a group of demons. She was taken in by Vivi, a 200-year-old demon who found her in of the castle as an infant. Hana adores Vivi, follows him around, and brings him flowers to make him smile. However, being around a handsome demon who is ageless and protective of her proves to be difficult for her. Hana becomes aware that her feelings for Vivi are that of a romantic love and she tries to find ways to make Vivi aware of her new feelings, even though she is afraid he will reject her and disappear. Soon after they found love, Vivi and Hana had to be separated because holes appearing in the demon world. After waiting 3 years Vivi finally realise his true feelings towards Hana.

フェルテン

Velten (フェルテン, Feruten), who claims to be friends with Vivi, is a demon and a cheerful company to Hana. He has a fiancée named Eleanor who loves him so much but appears to not return back that love through marriage for fear of "staining" her. He is a womanizer like his father and is a doctor who loves "treating" his patients.

Klaus (クラウス, Kurausu) is Eleanor's twin brother and has a grudge on Vivi since childhood because he has been effortlessly striding two to three steps ahead than him. He may seem to be the antagonist in the series for his antagonistic actions and manners although he often encounters his karma afterwards.

エリノア

Eleanor (エレノア, Erenoa) is the fiancée of Velten who demands him to marry her although he disapproves. She is the twin sister of Klaus and she had an intimate relationship with Hana after knowing that Hana isn't really Velten's girlfriend.

西島椿

Tsubaki Nishijima (西島椿, Nishijima Tsubaki) is the childhood friend of Momo and she appears to be unfriendly to Hana at first but takes note that she must have fun with someone to be her friend beforehand. She has a servant named Hirose who appears to have a mutual relationship with her.

Moritz (モーリッツ, Mōrittsu) is Vivi's "rival" for being greater demons with higher ranks among the others and as the top candidates in becoming the next king of the Demon World. He transformed himself into a human girl called, Ranko Tanaka, to be able to "infiltrate" Vivi and he takes Hana's heart before she therefore realizes and confess to Vivi her true feelings for him.

Gilbert (ギルバート, Girubāto) is Lucifer's butler and aide. He is far serious than his master and is rather strict in performing his duties.
