Mei Ebino is one of the protagonists in the Hatsukoi Zombie Manga series and is childhood friends with Kureme Tarou. She participates in many clubs, having majority of her time consumed by it. In one of these clubs, she ends up hitting a baseball into Kureme's forehead, sparking the beginning of the story. She later then finds out the identity of Ririsu Ibusuki and becomes her first friend.

Eve is one of the protagonists in the Hatsukoi Zombie Manga series. She is the First Love Zombie that follows / floats around Kurume Tarou and is based off of a five year old memory of Ririsu Ibusuki. Unlike other First Love Zombies, due to Kureme's realization of her existence, she strays from the others and begins having a consciousness, and is seen as a living being by Kureme.

久留目タロウ

Kurume Tarou is one of the protagonists of the Hatsukoi Zombie Manga series. Since his birth, he had the ability see First Love Zombies, but after The Departure, his ability was transferred to Ririsu Ibusuki. After being hit by a baseball sent by Mei Ebino directly onto his forehead, he regained this ability. Constantly being annoyed by certain First Love Zombies, he sought to help out his classmate's first love problems.

Shizuka Miyakonojou is one of the side characters in the Hatsukoi Zombie Manga series. He is also one of the classmates fortunate to have his first love zombie noticed by Kurume Tarou. With Kureme's assistance, he was able to obtain a girlfriend.
