Ayumu Aikawa is the main protagonist of Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka?. He was killed by a serial killer. But thanks to Eucliwood Hellscythe, he was revived as a Zombie. He is still like a human though.

Seraphim (Sera) ninja reflexes with her vampire powers to fight her enemies. She is able to form a pair of bat wings and a katana out of several leaves. Her signature outfit consists of a yellow spaghetti-strapped top that reveals her midriff and dark blue jeans (this outfit is the one she wears most often in promotional material). As a vampire, she periodically requires blood to stay alive, and can anesthetize people with a kiss in order to numb the pain from neck bites. She does this with other girls, since kissing a boy would symbolize marriage in her cult's rules. She comes to Ayumu's house to serve Eucliwood, though when rejected, she ends up being Ayumu's servant in hopes she can change her mind. She is rather cold towards Ayumu, constantly calling him a piece of shit. though has a healthy respect for his combat abilities. In episode 9, she has a brief argument with Ayumu over her participation in the contract Sarasvati put out on Eu and, on moral grounds, decides to let Eu live. She is killed by Yoruno in episode 10, only to come back to life when Eu pricks her own finger to supply blood for her—blood which will ultimately make her the key to sealing the gates of the underworld one episode later. In later novels, she seems to be developing feelings for Ayumu, slowly becoming more of a tsundere than when they first met. In short, Seraphim is a skilled, aloof, composed, dangerous, sassy, quite rude, considerably aggressive, and extremely obnoxious and argumentative thrill-seeker with an acerbic, biting wit who, despite the fact that she can be ruthless and bloodthirsty, has her redeeming qualities.

She seems to be obsessed with fried eggs, and is very good at making them. As shown when she made a whole bento with only fried eggs, and nothing else. She likes to call herself a 'genius' even though most of the things she does don't turn out right. She always treat Eucliwood as a little sister and is shown to be very childish (beating up Ayumu and getting upset over typical things). Despite being a self-proclaimed genius, she has trouble remembering people's names or important details of assignments, since she only remembers what she deems interesting and forgets everything else. Because of this, Ayumu was very surprised when all that Haruna teached him was actually on his test. Ayumu's name is an exception to this, suggesting that she cares about him. It appears she has feelings for Ayumu as shown in episode 9 when Haruna beats up Ayumu for kissing Tomonori (although by accident) and not her as well as turning there date into a group activity. She also expressed concern for Ayumu in episode 11. In short, Haruna is an arrogant, absentminded, impatient, bratty, spoiled, bombastic, bouncy, mischievous, abnormal, and very temperamental and enthusiastic thrill-seeker with a violent streak who, despite the fact that she can be somewhat bloodthirsty and ruthless, has her moments of kindness.
