Kyouhei, after moving away to Tokyo from his old town to get away from the events that happened, is on a goukon with his friends, including his old neighbor, Shiba. After drinking for a whole night, he and Shiba discover a dead, bloody, body in the elevator. He is told by his younger sister, Utao with her Kami-sama Doll, that Aki, an old friend, and his Doll, are the culprits responsible.

MAINA beautiful young woman who attends the same university as Kyōhei, who has had a crush on her since they met, but is unaware of her own feelings for him. Despite her father coming from the same village as Kyōhei, she is unaware of its secrets until she invites Kyōhei and Utao (whose apartment was destroyed) to live with her and her father. According to Aki, Kyōhei's affection for her comes from Hibino's resemblance with a certain teacher from their childhood.

MAINAki is a childhood friend of Kyohei and a powerful seki who controls the kakashi, Kuramitsuha. He was quietly serving his sentence for the massacre of Kuga members, up until someone told him of Kyohei’s departure for Tokyo. This prompted him to escape his confinement to confront his old friend about the same “sin” they are guilty of and to stop him from living life as if nothing happened.
