Kabane Kusaka

Kabane Kusaka (日 (くさ) 下 (か) 夏 (か) 羽 (ばね) , Kusaka Kabane) is the main protagonist of the Kemono Jihen series. He was living under the care of his aunt in Kanoko Village until he met Kohachi Inugami, who invited him to join the Inugami Detective Office in Tokyo. Kabane is a human boy who received a Khoular’s flame, granting him the powers of the species. He also possesses the Lifestone, an extremely rare white stone capable of suppressing a Kemono’s “thirst” that was left to him by his parents. Hoping to one day uncover the truth about their disappearance, Kabane joins the Inugami Detective Office while searching for his parents.

Akira, the fifty-sixth child of Shirona of the Snow Village in Mount Iwaki (岩 (いわ) 木 (き) 山 (やま) 雪 (ゆき) 里 (さと) 白 (しろ) 那 (な) 之 (の) 五 (ご) 十 (じゅう) 六 (ろく) 子 (し) 晶 (あきら) , Iwakiyama Yukisato Shirona no Gojūroku-shi Akira) or simply Akira (晶 (あきら) , Akira) is the fifty-sixth child of the snow village in mount Iwanki, a Snow Kemono. He's currently an employee of the Kemono office.
