Nijiiro no Trotsky

Umbolt, a young man of Japanese-Mongol descent who lost his memories and family at a young age, was arrested by military police and tortured during the anti-communist crackdown. However, he is released by General Staff Officer Masanobu Tsuji of the Kwantung Army (Kantou-gun/Japanese Imperial Army) and admitted to Kenkoku University, established in Manchuria under Japanese military rule. There, he learns that Trotsky, the founder of the Red Army, was an acquaintance of his father, and that he was admitted to the school at the behest of the military high command to bring Trotsky into the country. Set in former Manchuria, the story of a young man who survives with resilience while caught up in the political intrigues of the Japanese military begins now.
