Sarah leaves the countryside to become a gardener, but her bag is snatched and she loses her letter of introduction. Wandering aimlessly, Sarah jumps at the chance to find a gardener position that, for some reason, has never been filled. The owner of the mansion is Aile, a beautiful but eccentric woman who dresses as a man.
Sarah overcomes the challenging employment test with her overflowing love for plants. As a gardener, Sarah is taken on tours of the garden by Aile. Incidents occur everywhere they go, but Aile's insight and Sarah's knowledge of plants help to unravel them.
Eventually, Sarah notices the loneliness of Aile as she pursues the truth behind a certain flower and her father's death...
