Laala Manaka (真 (ま) 中 (なか) らぁら,, Manaka Raara) is the primary protagonist of the original series and a sixth grader at Paprika Private Academy. She is a lovely-type idol, and her preferred brand is Twinkle Ribbon. Her catchphrase is "Capisce!" (かしこまっ!, Kashikoma!).

北条そふぃ

Sophy Hojo (北条そふぃ, Hōjō Sofi) is the tritagonist of the series. She is a 9 grader at Paprika Private Academy and a cool-type idol. Her preferred brand is Holic Trick and she has a Fan Club. Because Sophy has a weak body, she often goes into Fancy Mode.

南みれぃ

Mirei Minami (南みれぃ, Minami Mirei) is the deuteragonist of the series. She is voiced by Yu Serizawa, a member of i☆Ris. She is an 8th grader at Paprika Private Academy. She is a pop type idol, with her preferred brand being Candy Alamode PriPara world. Her catchphrase is "Pop, Step, Get You!" (ポップ・ステップ・ゲッチュー！ Poppu Suteppu Getchū!) and tends to end her sentences with "~pri". She is also the head disciplinarian at Paprika Private Academy.

ファルル

Falulu (ファルル, Faruru) is a mysterious vocal doll who appears in Episode 1 and Episode 13 as a cameo. Her preferred brand is Marionette Mu. She makes her actual anime debut in Episode 17, and her Season 2 debut in Episode 58.

Reona West (レオナ・ウェスト, Reona・Uesuto) is a PriPara idol and 8 grader at Paprika Private Academy. He is voiced by Yuki Wakai, a member of i☆Ris. He is the younger twin sibling of Dorothy West and is of Canadian (his father) and Japanese (his mother) descent. His favorite saying is "If Dorothy ○○, then I’ll ... too...". His preferred brand is Fortune Party.

Dorothy West (ドロシー・ウェスト, Doroshi・Uesuto) is a PriPara idol and 8 grader at Paprika Private Academy. She is voiced by Azuki Shibuya, a former member of i☆Ris. She is the older twin sister of Reona West and is of Canadian (her father) and Japanese (her mother) heritage. She sometimes mixes English with Japanese when speaking. Her preferred brand is Fortune Party.
