Fukune Narukara (鳴唐 吹音 Narukara Fukune) is the main female protagonist. She is a genius clarinetist who seems to have developed feelings for Taketo Akutagawa and getting flustered when he compliments her by saying he likes her music.

Kurumi Kuroki

黒樹繰美

Kurumi Kuroki (黒樹 繰美 Kuroki Kurumi), also known as the "chief" of the Newspaper Circle, as a student of Inspiration Academy, she must be a genius but what type is unknown. She is presumed to be an alien due to minor hints towards it by Taketo Akutagawa, Utae Sonokoe, Ran Musen and Ritsu Enshuu, but the idea is dismissed as no definitive evidence is ever found. Also, she may be related to Principal Suiboku as they share their their last names. Her status as a genius is considered higher than other geniuses and is even considered a 'First-class Genius' by others.

Ran Musen

霧線蘭

Ran Musen (霧線 蘭) is a genius programmer. She dislikes Taketo Akutagawa and constantly blames negative occurrences on him before getting violent.

Taketo Akutagawa

芥川丈途

Taketo Akutagawa (芥川 丈途), is a genius novelist and the main protagonist of the series though more specifically he writes erotic literature. He has nose bleeds when he observses anything that is can be seen as perverted, he is a member of the Newspaper Circle and is a member of class 1-3.

Ritsu Enshuu

円修律

Ritsu Enshuu (円修 律), also known as Ritsu Enshū, is a genius mathematician. He is Taketo's best friend. When he is aroused, Taketo makes him recite the formula pi to distract him from his own erotic thoughts. He places a lot of faith in Taketo and generally believes him over others.

Utae Sonokoe

園声謡江

Utae Sonokoe (園声 謡江) is a popular genius (pop) idol. She has romantic feelings for Taketo but due to the fact that she is an idol and has a very tight schedule they are rarely able to meet. She is a member of class 1-2.
