Phoenix Ikki (鳳凰星座フェニックスの一輝, Fenikkusu no Ikki; Literally meaning "Gleam") is the bronze saint of Phoenix. Although he was introduced later than the other four main Bronze Saints, Ikki's role in the story is quite significant. He serves as the first antagonist in the series that the other Saints must defeat, as well as a powerful ally later in the series.

Shiryu

紫龍

Shiryu (紫龍, Shiryū, lit. "Purple Dragon"), also known as Dragon Shiryu (龍星座ドラゴンの紫龍, Doragon no Shiryū, lit. "Shiryu of the Dragon Constellation) is a bronze saint of Dragon. He is considered the most mature of the five heroes, and thus the wisest. As the Bronze Saint of the Dragon constellation, Shiryu dons the emerald Dragon Bronze Cloth, a jewel among the Clothes due to its legendary defense properties.

Seiya

星矢

Seiya (星矢, Seiya, lit. "Star Arrow") also known as Pegasus Seiya (天馬星座ペガサスの星矢, Pegasasu no Seiya, lit. "Seiya of the Pegasus Constellation") is the title character and main protagonist of the Saint Seiya manga and anime series written and illustrated by Masami Kurumada. Seiya is one of eighty-eight mythical warriors known as the Saints, who serve the Goddess of War Athena throughout the ages, protecting justice and peace on Earth.

Shun

Andromeda Shun (アンドロメダ星座アンドロメダの瞬, Andoromeda no Shun), also known as Shun, literally meaning 'twinkle, instant', is one of the Bronze Saints. He is arguably one of the strongest in the series, although his gentle disposition and kind nature tend to prevent him from using his true power, unless he is forced to do so.

Hyoga

Cygnus Hyoga (白鳥星座キグナスの氷河, Kigunasu no Hyōga; lit. meaning "glacier") is one of the main protagonists, and the Bronze Saint of Cygnus. He was trained by Aquarius Camus, who taught him how to control and manipulate ice by arresting the movement of atoms with Cosmo. Following his master's teachings, he tries to maintain a rational and cool attitude, but has an emotional side that he struggles to let go of.

Saori Kido

Athena reincarnates once every 200 years to prevent evil from dominating the world. She is the symbol of justice for all Saints. She appeared at the foot of her statue in her temple at her birth. In the manga, Saori is always aware that she is the reincarnation of Athena. However, in the anime, she eventually discovers her true identity after fighting alongside the steel knights.

Dohko

童虎

Libra Dohko (天秤座の童虎, Raibura no Dōko) is one of the Gold Saints. He is one of the oldest characters in the manga next to Aries Shion, as they both appear in the previous Holy War, and is most known as Dragon Shiryu's mentor. He is also referred to as the Old Master (老師, Rōshi) by all the Saints of Athena, as a sign of respect, even though his only true student is Shiryu.

Aiolia

アイオリア

As Masami Kurumada uses the revered Osamu Tezuka's Star System, (A stable cast of characters which play a different or similar role in the author's various works, sometimes with the same personality and sometimes with an entirely new one), he designed Aiolia's appearance very similar to Zaji, the main character in Raimei no Zaji, a manga that Kurumada wrote and drew years before Saint Seiya.

Shaina

シャイナ

Shaina is a temperamental woman with a strong character and at times, she is insolent. Her aggressiveness in combat is also reflected in her behavior; her comrades in arms at the Sanctuary treat Shaina with absolute respect.
