Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo

椎名ましろ

Mashiro Shiina (椎名 ましろ, Shiina Mashiro) is the main female protagonist of the story and resides in Room 202 of the Sakura Dormitory. Mashiro is a world famous artist who transferred into Suiko as a second-year to learn how to draw. She aims to drawing manga.

青山七海

Nanami Aoyama (青山 七海, Aoyama Nanami) is Sorata Kanda's classmate. Although she is harsh to Sorata, she obviously is in love with him and everyone aside from Sorata has noticed this, due to the fact that Sorata is oblivious to her feelings towards him. She escaped from her home to become a voice actress, and has to live on her own. Nanami later moves into Sakura Dormitory's room 203 and lives there, where she becomes one of the main characters of the series.

神田空太

Sorata Kanda (神田 空太, Kanda Sorata) is the male protagonist of the story. He is a second-year student of Suiko University of Arts, who lives in room 101 of the Sakurasou Dormitory. He was kicked out of the standard school dorm after he refused to abandon a white cat he picked up. As many of the Sakurasou Dormitory residents have outstanding grades and art skills, he often feels plain and normal among them. He is chosen by Chihiro to take care of Mashiro's daily life and although he initially resists, he eventually grows accustomed, even somewhat fond of the job.

上井草美咲

Misaki Kamiigusa (上井草 美咲, Kamiigusa Misaki) is the former resident of room 201. Misaki is a third-year-student of Suiko who later attends Suimei University of the Arts. She is very good at drawing, but the school decided to send her to Sakurasou Dormitory because she pays too much attention on drawing anime and manga. She creates animations and can handle most of the work herself.

三鷹 仁

Jin Mitaka (三鷹 仁, Mitaka Jin) is the former resident of room 103. Jin is a third-year student of Suiko. He is Misaki Kamiigusa's childhood friend and a giant playboy. He has dated several girls, including Fuuka Kamiigusa, but in the end he breaks up with all of them.

姫宮 伊織

Iori Himemiya (姫宮 伊織, Himemiya Iori) is a first-year student and the little brother of Saori Himemiya who started living at the Sakurasou Dormitory after Jin Mitaka and Misaki Kamiigusa graduated.

赤坂龍之介

Ryuunosuke Akasaka (赤坂 龍之介, Akasaka Ryūnosuke) is a resident of room 102. He is a second-year student of Suiko. He is a recluse who rarely leaves his room, and usually communicates with others with cellphone messages or e-mails. To reduce the need to communicate with others, he programmed an AI program, "Maid".

姫宮 沙織

Saori Himemiya (姫宮 沙織, Himemiya Saori) is the older sister of Iori Himemiya and the girlfriend of Souichirou Tatebayashi.

長谷 栞奈

Kanna Hase (長谷 栞奈, Hase Kanna) Kanna is a first-year student living in Sakura Dormitory after Jin and Misaki graduated. The highest scorer on entrance exam, she moves to Sakura Dormitory because she couldn't stand sharing a room with another person, especially a noisy one, who turns out to be Yuuko Kanda.
