Kazuma is thought to not think before he acts, but this proves to be false. He does think, he just does so rather quickly.

One of the main protagonists, Kanami Yuta is an eight-year-old girl that lives with Kazuma. She originally did not know about Alters or what Kazuma really did for a living, other than the money was rarely enough to financially support the both of them. Kanami truly loves him and continues to wait several years for Kazuma to return.

桐生水守

Age 17- Daughter of the family that funds HOLD and HOLY in Scryed. She was born in the Lost Ground and moved away, but comes back at the start of the anime to be with Ryuho. She works at HOLY as a scientist. An old flame of Ryuho's, she hopes to reunite with him. She's also extremely idealistic and gentle, helping virtually all of the other cast members at some point or other. In addition, Mimori is opposed to violence in any way shape or form. She first appears in Episode 1.

ストレイト・クーガー

Straight Cougar, in conjunction with his alter power, is a speed demon. His carefree and fun attitude is a sharp contrast to the more serious members of HOLY as he seems to annoy most of them with his constant trouble remembering names. Cougar is friendly and outgoing, but his crush on Mimori Kiryu remains unrequited. He also seems to get offended when he is called slow or he feels something is challenging his speed.

シェリス・アジャーニ

Scheris is the first Holy member seen in the series. She often works with Ryuho, if only to provide a mental balance, although it quickly becomes apparent that she has a crush on Ryuho. Although stated that she is an alter user in the first episode, she rarely uses her alter.

君島邦彦

Kimishima is Kazuma's friend main source of cash, though he is quite a bit pompous and willingly ignorant. Kimishima also happens to be rather serious in his business, as when he first meets Kazuma, he tells him to trust him because if Kazuma fails, Kimishima was to die, which is proven true. He remains a noticeable and rather comical character all the way up until he dies in the anime as a result from a Hold and Holy operation to capture Kazuma using the Darths. It is a running joke in the series that his modes of transportation get destroyed in one way or another, usually at the hands of Kazuma. After his death, the scene in the opening where he is briefly shown is changed to a small montage. Kimishima's death is what pushed Kazuma over the edge and caused him to flip out and strike randomly at Holy, injuring Scheris and getting into a conflict with Ryuhou. Kazuma formed his Shell arm using Kimishima's gun and caused a door to the Alter Realm to open and caused Ryuhou and Kazuma to disappear for eight months. He's shown to be skilled with vehicles and guns.
