Sekirei: About 365 Days Without a Girlfriend

Tsukiumi is one of the heroines of the story and Minato's fourth Sekirei. She first appears to Minato in a dream saying that she would kill him; this was due to her desire to be the strongest Sekirei without being winged by an Ashikabi as well as her misunderstanding how a Sekirei emerges (she was under the impression that she would have to sleep with the Ashikabi.) When they finally met, she was persuaded into becoming his Sekirei. She refers to herself as Minato's 'legal wife' and is very possessive of him. Tsukiumi had a one-sided rivalry with Homura, whom Tsukiumi considers her rival (she was apparently defeated by Homura on their very first confrontation; he then advised Tsukiumi to find her Ashikabi instead of wasting time fighting, and Tsukiumi has been looking forward to settling the score ever since). Tsukiumi once confided to Asama Miya that she still wants to be the strongest, but it is so she can be with Minato forever. Her name (Tsuki + umi) literally means "moon sea" (not to be confused with "lunar mare" - 月の海).

She met Minato while literally falling out of the sky and was moved by his kindness. This caused her Sekirei Crest to react to him. Due to this, she and Minato became involved in a tournament organized by the MBI Corperation, called Sekirei Plan, which forces them to fight with other Sekirei in the capital in order to protect themselves and the ones they care about.

風花

Kazehana first appears when Musubi and Tsukiumi confronts the Veiled Sekirei, who was about to attack Kuno and her Ashikabi. She meets Minato afterwards for the first time at Izumo Inn, when she stumbled into his bed in a drunken stupor .

松

Matsu is a computer genius and hacker. Matsu uses a vast network of satellites and spying devices to gather large amounts of information and has even succeeded in hacking the MBI mainframe computer. Because she has stolen one of the Jinki, Matsu is being chased by MBI and lives in a secret room at the Inn. Matsu serves primarily as Minato's unofficial 'strategist', rarely venturing outside of the Inn and using her vast network of information to aid him. She left Izumo Inn for the first time to free Chiho, and with this to repay Uzume for the big favor she gained in the past when Uzume helped her to escape from MBI after her theft. Takami surmises that the reason Matsu stole the Jinki in the first place was to prevent anyone from gathering all of them. Her name literally means a "pine". Miya's nickname for Matsu is "Hentai-Glasses".

草野

She is commonly referred to as 'Kū-chan', "Green Girl", or "Green Lady". Her "regulations" (regulator Sahashi Takami) are still incomplete and her powers are uncontrollable, which is why her powers tend to go out of control and causes the plants around her to grow when she's sad or upset. This causes her to be trapped in the botanical garden after an attempted winging of her by Mikogami Hayato with #43 Yomi on his side. She calls Minato, Onii-chan (older brother), and is the most attached to him. She does not like fighting or quarreling and she can be seen stopping them when they start. She's influenced and sometimes copies Musubi, Tsukiumi and Kazehana's actions. She has expressed a desire to be Minato's wife when she grows up (a wish that is not reciprocated by Minato and most likely never will be since, unlike his other Sekirei, Minato does not see Kusano as a love interest/wife, only as a little sister). Her name (kusa+no) literally means a "grass field". Her power can be difficult to control because of her age and because her adjustment wasn't finalized. She has a very close sibling-like relationship with #107 Shiina, despite the fact that his power is naturally opposite of hers. In the manga, when Minato initially brought her to Izumo Inn, Asama Miya drew and pointed a sword at Minato's face, as she thought that Minato had kidnapped her. Miya's nickname for Kusano is "Adopted Child".

焔

Homura is called the 'Sekirei Guardian' as he used to protect unwinged Sekirei until they found their Ashikabi. This mission was given to him by Sahashi Takami. Homura's power, sex, and gender were unstable (a running gag throughout the series prior to him being winged was when he's about to incinerate himself with his own fire, Tsukiumi would suddenly come out of nowhere to douse the engulfing flames); however, he continues to think and act as a man even after his body started becoming female (called 'feminization' in the manga). For a long time, he lived under the alias 'Kagari', a popular host club entertainer (because he was looking for an Ashikabi although no matter how many women he met he did not react) and only Asama Miya, Uzume, Matsu and Kazehana knew his true identity.

佐橋皆人

Sahashi Minato (佐橋 皆人) also known as the Ashikabi of the North (北の葦牙, Kita no Ashikabi), is the male protagonist of the story. He is an average 19-year old teenager who happens to be highly intelligent, yet due to his inability to overcome pressure has failed his university entrance exam twice, and as result has been branded as an incompetent loser. Minato's known family consists of his mother Sahashi Takami, his unnamed grandmother, and his younger sister Yukari. Minaka Hiroto is heavily implied to be Minato's father. It has since been revealed by Higa, that Minato is indeed Minaka's son and that revelation was confirmed by Minato's Sekirei.

浅間美哉

Miya Asama (浅間 美哉, Asama Miya) is the landlady of the Izumo Inn who is also known as the "Hannya of the North." Due to her fearsome reputation, no Ashikabi or Sekirei have dared to attack Izumo Inn.
