リナ・インバース

When Hajime Kanzaka was in high school, he created a story where Lina was a 10-year-old clone of her now-older sister, Luna Inverse. In this story, Lina was obsessed with machinery. When Kanzaka began writing Slayers, he made Lina five years older and obsessed with magic instead of machines. Rui Araizumi claims that Lina's design was based on a young Audrey Hepburn.

He is handsome and well-built, with long blonde hair and blue eyes. Even though the characters in Slayers do age with time, Hajime Kanzaka has stated that he sees Gourry as "forever 22." It might be reasonable to predict that this is his age at the beginning of the series, and he ages at the same pace as Lina and the other characters as the series progresses. He is 182 cm (just under 6 feet) tall, which makes him the tallest of the main cast.

アメリア・ウィル・テスラ・セイルーン

Amelia Wil Tesla Saillune (アメリア＝ウィル＝テスラ＝セイルーン, Ameria Wiru Tesura Seirūn; English: also Ameria Wil Tesla Saillune or Amelia Wil Tesla Seyruun) is the second princess of the kingdom of Saillune and a specialist in white magic. Her Japanese voice actress is Masami Suzuki. Her English voice actresses are Joani Baker (EP11-EP13), Veronica Taylor (EP14-EP78), and Luci Christian (Slayers Premium).

Philionel (nicknamed Phil) has two daughters, Amelia Wil Tesla Saillune and Gracia Ul Naga Saillune (better known as Naga the Serpent). His wife was killed by an assassin, Booley, some years ago, and Gracia left as a result. Phil's youngest brother Randionel Saillune and his nephew Alfred Saillune were both killed in separate attempts to assassinate him and take the throne. His other younger brother, Christopher Wil Brogg Saillune, still resides in Saillune. Although Phil's father, Eldoran Saillune, is still technically the king, he is presumed to be bedridden, so Phil now more or less runs the country.

He was one of Zelgadiss Graywords' top four henchmen. When Lina Inverse refused to tell Zelgadiss anything about the Philosopher's Stone, Zolf called Noonsa in and told the fishman to give Lina a kiss, an idea which horrified and disgusted Lina. Noonsa gave Lina what both Dilgear and Zolf called a "deep kiss" (which involved Noonsa sucking on her head inside of his mouth, which she clobbered him for). In the original novel, Zolf actually wanted Noonsa to rape Lina, but this was censored to a kiss both in the anime and in the novel's 2004 Tokyopop English translation; the 2021 J-Novel Club translation reverses this change.

デュクリス

Duclis (Japanese: デュクリス Romaji: dyukurisu) appears in the fifth novel and in Slayers REVOLUTION. In the novel, he is a beastman-hybrid of a man and a white tiger, but in the anime series, he is a human whose spirit inhabits the beastman body. He is extremely muscular and a head taller than Gourry. He is voiced in the original Japanese version by Takashi Matsuyama and in the English version by Scott Rayow.

ズーマ

Zuuma (Japanese: ズーマ Romaji: zūma) is a highly skilled assassin from the Slayers series, hired to kill Lina Inverse; he is also the alter-ego of Radok Ranzaad, a wealthy merchant. The circumstances surrounding his hire, as well as his reason for becoming an assassin, differ in the novels and anime. His Japanese voice actor is Nobuo Tobita, and his English voice actor is Troy Baker.
