ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ

Sonic the Hedgehog (ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ, Sonikku za Hejjihoggu) is the titular main protagonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog series and Sega's mascot. He is an anthropomorphic hedgehog known for his ability to run faster than the speed of sound, hence his name. As his species implies, Sonic can roll up into a concussive ball, primarily to attack enemies.

マイルス・パウア

Miles Prower (マイルス・パウアー, Mairusu Pauā), better known as Tails (テイルス, Teirusu), is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is an anthropomorphic young fox and Sonic's best friend and sidekick who was born on West Side Island. He can use his tails like helicopter rotors to fly and has a remarkable IQ with excellent mechanical engineering skills. Since they met, Tails has accompanied Sonic in his adventures to thwart their nemesis, Dr. Eggman.

チャーミー・ビー

Charmy Bee (チャーミー・ビー, Chāmī Bī) is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is an anthropomorphic bee and the youngest member of Team Chaotix, a detective agency he helped co-found with his teammates Espio the Chameleon and Vector the Crocodile. Although he is a certified junior detective, this frivolous and scatterbrained bee is more akin to a mood maker who helps excite Team Chaotix and make his coworkers look professional. He is as well generally seen by others as his detective agency's entertaining and incredibly cute mascot. Regardless, he is an excellent flier and possesses a sharp stinger to boot.

アントン・べルーカ

Anton Veruca (アントン・べルーカ, Anton Berūka) is the secondary antagonist in the Sonic the Hedgehog manga published by Shogakukan. Anton describes himself as the number one hooligan in Hedgehog Town, who hangs around with his quadruplet younger siblings. He bullies Nicky and frequently tries to date Nicky's girlfriend, Amy. When he becomes particularly obnoxious, causing Nicky to wish he was stronger, Nicky transforms into Sonic the Hedgehog, who then beats up Anton.

メタル ・ソニック

Metal Sonic (メタルソニック, Metaru Sonikku) is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is a Badnik created by Dr. Eggman, modeled after Sonic the Hedgehog. Metal Sonic can imitate Sonic's abilities and achieve speeds matching his own. Widely regarded as one of Dr. Eggman's greatest creations, Metal has been shown to wipe out his foes in seconds and can even take on many of them at a time.

タニア

In the prose stories written by Kenji Terada, as well as the manga stories written by Hirokazu Hikawa (Shogaku Sannensei, Shogaku Gonensei) and Koichi Tanaka (Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic Special), Nicky's sister is named Tania (タニア). However, in the manga stories written by Sango Morimoto, the Katakana in her name is reversed, making her name Anita (アニタ). The reason for this discrepancy is unknown. Despite the name change, in Sonic the Hedgehog Book's cast page, Morimoto depicts her wearing a shirt with the letter "T" printed on it.

Mad is an anthropomorphic lizard, smaller than his big brother Anton. He has a single snaggletooth. He wears overalls (that cover his tail), sneakers, gloves and a baseball cap. He is often seen carrying a toy hammer.
