シド・カゲノー

Cid Kagenou (シド・カゲノー, Shido Kagenō), formerly Minoru Kageno (影野実, Kageno Minoru), is the titular antihero and protagonist of The Eminence in Shadow series. After a premature death, he reincarnates into a world of swords and sorcery. Choosing Shadow as his nom de guerre, he leads the secret organization Shadow Garden. He lives out unfulfilled Chunibyou (厨二病, Chūnibyō) fantasies of being an enigmatic shadow broker, unaware that his creative scenarios are close to the truth.

アルファ

Alpha (アルファ, Arufa) (Aλφα) is the commander in chief of Shadow Garden and the first seat of the Seven Shadows, as well as a descendant of the "Elf Hero" Olivier. After Shadow cured her of Possession, she dedicated her life to him and destroying the Cult of Diablos. Second-in-command only in name, Alpha acts as the true leader of Shadow Garden, growing it from a grassroots organization into an economic and military superpower.

ベータ

Beta (ベータ, Bēta) (Βήτα) is the third initial member of Shadow Garden and the second seat of the Seven Shadows. Functioning as an archivist, she accumulates information through research or pilfering. Her public identity is Natsume Kafka, a renowned author whose novels are stories from Earth—recounted to her by Shadow and distributed without his knowledge or permission.

ガンマ

Gamma (ガンマ, Ganma) (Γάμμα) is the fourth initial member of Shadow Garden and the third seat of the Seven Shadows. She administers the organization's daily operations and occupies the head of the administrative section. Outside of Shadow Garden, the public knows her as Luna, the face and president of Mitsugoshi, Ltd—a highly successful corporation and financial institution. She has produced many revolutionary products for Mitsugoshi by reverse-engineering Cid's vague descriptions of earthly concepts.

ローズ・オリアナ

Rose Oriana (ローズ・オリアナ, Rōzu Oriana) is the former student council president of Midgar Academy for Dark Knights, where she was Cid's upperclassman, as well as the princess of Oriana Kingdom. After being a victim of a plot by the Cult of Diablos, she joins Shadow Garden under the codename No. 666 and is later made her country's new queen following the "Black Rose Incident".

ニュー

Nu (ニュー, Nyū) (Νυ), formerly known as Nicoletta Marquez (ニコレッタ・マルケス, Nikoretta Marukesu) is a member of Shadow Garden, designated as thirteenth of the Numbers. Initially possessing the code name No. 93, she quickly rose through the ranks due to her strength and loyalty. Outside of specifically directed tasks, she acts as Gamma's personal assistant and bodyguard.

エリザベート

Elisabeth (エリザベート, Erizabēto), also known as the Blood Queen (血（ち）の女王（じょおう）, Chi no Joō), is a Vampire Progenitor and formerly one of the Lawless City's triumvirate, being the ruler of the Crimson Tower. In reality, she was a figurehead used by her subordinate, Crimson.

マリー

Marie (マリー, Marī) is a former prostitute from the Lawless City. After Shadow saved her during the "Red Moon Incident", she fled from the city and is currently a citizen of the Oriana Kingdom, where she now owns a tavern and manages it as a bartender.

クイントン

At first glance, Quinton looks like a rude pro wrestler as he wears a large great sword on his back and multiple battle scars etched across his face with an eyepatch on his right eye assumable being half blind. This makes him seem more like a grizzled warrior with the atmosphere of a ‘veteran of battlefields’ aura.
