Yasaka Tokiwa lives in an unusual time, and according to his dreams, it's about to become even stranger. He's been having a dream of a woman called Ri'in ever since the robot, who he calls Makina, came to his home. He and Makina attend the same school, where their other classmates include a secret ninja (Kusanagi Kanata) and a sorcerer (Yata Haruka). When Tokiwa, the robot, the ninja, and the sorcerer rush to rescue the student council president from a demon, the boys find that they've all been having the same dream! What is going to happen to their world?

MAINTokiwa is a fairly intelligent, kind, if easily scared kid who has a hobby of writing net novels, he has shown to be a little whiny and petulant at times but when the situation calls for it he can be incredibly brave making quick plans on the fly and somehow managing to survive. When the situation is really intense he isn't above using himself as bait if it means it give his friends an opening to attack as demonstrated against the Azukitogi.
弥多ハルカ
MAINHaruka is a slightly tallish teenager with short, light brown hair and reddish brown eyes. He usually wears jeans, a black shirt and a grey hoodie, even at school, while most of his classmates wear a school uniform. He is described as very handsome by his classmates and he is very popular with girls. This goes so far that there is a secret fan club for him at his school.
アリア
MAINAria is a young girl with a petite figure. She had long blonde hair which she wears in a braid, light green eyes, and long, pointy ears. She usually wars a light green dress, gold and red jewellery on her forehead, hair, neck, wrists, hands, ankles and feet. She doesn't wear any shoes. She also doesn't seem to wear any underwear.
牧那デウス
MAINDeus Ex Machina III, or for short DEM III is a highly advanced humanoid. At school he uses the alias Deusu Makina. His friends usually call him Machina.
