Jelanda is the spoiled, temperamental princess of Artolia. However, despite her brash and tomboyish behavior, she genuinely loves her father and would go to great lengths to defend his honor. Thus, when Arngrim, an arrogant Artolian mercenary, insults the king to his face in front of the entire royal army, she is indignant. Lombert, a royal councillor, urges her to calm down, but she hatches an elaborate scheme to get revenge. Posing as a commoner by the name of Angela, she seeks Arngrim out and offers to hire him for a job. Despite his suspicions at her rather poor disguise, Arngrim decides to play along, and they meet at a Yamato restaurant to discuss details. However, Jelanda's personality gets the better of her: she orders more food than she is able to eat, rudely complains about the restaurant's traditional cuisine and finally passes out after mistaking sake for water. Embarrassed, Arngrim nevertheless brings her home to recuperate. However, as she sleeps, her bonnet falls off her head, and Arngrim finally recognizes her, realizing why she has come. Shortly afterwards, she awakens and leaves in a hurry, flustered at finding herself in a compromising position, but promises to return the next day. Understanding her motivations, Arngrim plans to apologize for his behavior.

レナス

Lenneth Valkyrie is a major character in Valkyrie Profile, Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, and Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume. She is one of the three goddesses of fate, chooser of Einherjar, and goddess of the present. She is also the middle sister of the three and is the central character of the original game. Lenneth wields one of the Four Treasures: the Demon Sword Levantine.

Platina is a character from Valkyrie Profile. A young girl living in the impoverished village of Coriander, she is the human host of Lenneth's sleeping soul.

シルメリア

Silmeria is a recurring character in the Valkyrie Profile series. She is the youngest of the three Valkyrie sisters, briefly mentioned in Valkyrie Profile, but becomes a major character in Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. She is an Archer.

バッドラック

Badrach is a low-life thief who has robbed and killed countless people. He lives in Villnore, in some rented lodgings managed by a landlady named Geena, but prefers to freelance out of greed, rather than joining the Thieves' Guild. One day, Lombert, the councillor of Artolia, who is also a spy for Villnore, organizes the kidnapping of the Artolian princess, Jelanda, with the aid of the Guild. He hires Badrach and Arngrim, both unaware of the real contents of their cargo, to escort the cart that carries the unconscious princess. Badrach appears to know Arngrim by reputation, but the mercenary only has contempt for him. As they travel to Villnore, they are overtaken by a patrol, dispatched by Lombert himself to avoid suspicion. The two men flee, but not before witnessing that the cargo was, in fact, the princess. Badrach informs Arngrim that Lombert is a spy, and, although he did not know of the kidnapping beforehand, figures that the princess was to serve as a means of blackmailing Artolia. Suddenly, the two men hear screams from the direction of the cart. Lombert had given the guards a medicine in case they managed to overtake Jelanda, supposedly to revive her. In fact, the substance turned out to be Ghoul Powder. Jelanda transforms into a demon and kills all the guards. Badrach escapes, realizing that he has gotten in over his head.

Claire is a minor character from Valkyrie Profile. A member of a band of thieves in Gerabellum alongside Lucian, she is devastated by his death.

Loki is a half-Aesir and half-Vanir. While allowed to live in Asgard, Loki is not held in high regard and constantly suspected of being up to no good. Odin and Freya sealed his power, Loki has an adult or vanir appearance once he obtains the Dragon Orb. The only Aesir he is seen associating with is Frei. Frei appears to honestly see Loki as a friend, and in the manga she is devastated when Loki turns against Odin.

アリューゼ

Arngrim is a recurring character in the Valkyrie Profile series. He is a Heavy Warrior and features in the games either as an Einherjar or an ally. Through several incarnations, he has witnessed the main events of the saga and encountered all three Valkyries.
