We, Pitiful Yet Beloved

Ryuu has a complex about his plain looks and is the target of cruel classmates who pick on him daily. But one day, something changes. His classmate Fukuda Ema, whose looks rival even celebrities and models, calls out to him, inviting Ryuu to reconnect with him. The two used to be childhood friends, but now, Ryuu believes they’re in two completely different worlds and rejects him. But Ema, who used to be insecure as well, isn’t willing to let Ryuu fade into the background. He admits to Ryuu that it’s only because of the young man’s kindness that he was able to blossom into who he is today. Can Ema help Ryuu to see his own beauty and get his friend back? Or could more feelings be budding between them?
