Wilhelmina (or Wilma) "Will" Vandom is a fictional character and protagonist of the W.I.T.C.H. comics who first appeared in the first issue: Halloween, which was released in April 2001. Will is the leader of the Guardians (known as W.I.T.C.H.), a group of magical girls who guard the Veil and Kandrakar, the center of the magical universe. As the leader, she is the Keeper of the Heart of Kandrakar and her individual power is Energy, but in the TV series, it is Quintessence. In the TV series, the full name of the character might have been changed to "Wilma", and her voice is provided by Kelly Stables in the English version.

Cornelia Hale

Cornelia Hale is a fictional character in the W.I.T.C.H. comics and TV series. Cornelia is one of the five teenage girls who are chosen to be the new Guardians of Kandrakar. Their mission is to protect Kandrakar, the center of the universe, and the other planets from evil. Cornelia is the Guardian of Earth which is represented by a a green circular sign. In the television series, she is voiced by Christel Khalil.

Irma Lair

Irma Lair is a fictional character in the W.I.T.C.H. comics and the TV series of the same name. Irma is one of the five teenage girls who are chosen to be the new Guardians of Kandrakar. Their mission is to protect Kandrakar, the center of the magical universe, and the other planets from evil.

Elyon

When Elyon is first introduced in the comics, it is as one of the main villains at the beginning due to her introduction as the Princess of Meridian and the middle of the first arc, but later becomes one of the main heroes and most important allies of the guardians in the comics. Within the Television Series, Elyon is introduced as a friend of the Guardians (specifically Cornelia) before becoming a supporting (though unwitting) villain. Elyon was redeemed and took her place as Queen of a rejuvenated Meridian at the end of Season 1. Season 2 saw her continued reign before she was imprisoned at the hands of Nerissa and drained of her powers. The combined efforts of the Guardians and the rebellion resulted in her freedom and restoration to the throne at the end of season.

Taranee Cook

Taranee Cook is one of the five protagonists of W.I.T.C.H. and a member of the Guardians of Kandrakar. She is the Guardian of Fire, entrusted with the ability to generate, control, and sense flame and heat. Alongside Will Vandom, Irma Lair, Cornelia Hale, and Hay Lin, Taranee protects the Veil, Kandrakar, and the worlds connected to them from magical and interdimensional threats.

Hay Lin

Hay Lin is one of the five teenage girls who are chosen to be the new Guardians of Kandrakar. Their mission is to protect Kandrakar; the center of the universe and the other planets from evil. Hay Lin is the Guardian of Air just like her paternal grandmother Yan Lin was before her.

Phobos

In the comic book he serves as the primary antagonist during the first story arc, and returns to the fourth story arc. In the TV series he serves as the primary villain during the first season, and returns shortly before the end of the second season.
