Ringo Akai

Ringo's father lives in Tokyo but information on him is practically non-existent. Ringo spends most of her time staying with her brother, Mashio Akai, at the nature reserve. Their mother died when they were young. She used to be sickly when she was younger, so she couldn't go out much. She is alone most of the time and has no friends except for her pet penguin, Yuki, up to the point of meeting the other Mew Mews. As a result, she was very shy in the beginning but slowly warms up to her new friends.
