黒雪姫

Kuroyukihime (黒雪姫, Kuroyukihime, lit. "Black Snow Princess"), real name Kuroba Sayuki (黒羽 早雪, Kuroba Sayuki), is one of the main characters in the Accel World series. She is the Black King (黒の王, Kuro no Ō), Black Lotus (ブラック・ロータス, Burakku Rōtasu), and the leader of the Black Legion, Nega Nebulus. She is the one who gave the Brain Burst program to Haruyuki and now works together with him to reach Level 10 and meet the creator of the Accelerated World by defeating the other Pure-Colored Kings.

有田春雪

Arita Haruyuki (有田 春雪, Arita Haruyuki) is the main protagonist of the Accel World series. He becomes the Burst Linker Silver Crow (シルバー・クロウ, Shirubā Kurō) after he receives the Brain Burst program from Kuroyukihime. He now works together with her to reach Level 10 and meet the creator of the Accelerated World by defeating the Six Kings of Pure Color.

倉嶋千百合

Kurashima Chiyuri (倉嶋 千百合, Kurashima Chiyuri) is a childhood friend of Haru and Taku. Fearing that they were growing apart and having learned of Brain Burst, she had Taku give her his copy of the program and subsequently became the Burst Linker Lime Bell (ライム・ベル, Raimu Beru).

黛拓武

Mayuzumi Takumu (黛 拓武, Mayuzumi Takumu), also known as the Burst Linker Cyan Pile (シアン・パイル, Shian Pairu), is Haruyuki's and Chiyuri's childhood friend. In an attempt to win Chiyu's affection, he regularly abused the Brain Burst program to get perfect grades. However, after being defeated by Haru, he realized the error of his ways and joined Nega Nebulus.

桐ヶ谷和人

Kirito was chosen to be one of the one thousand beta testers for the closed beta of Sword Art Online, the first ever Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG) for the NerveGear, and later joined the official version of the game. He thus became one of the 10,000 players who were trapped in Sword Art Online, where he remained a solo player for the majority of the game, willingly taking on the role of a Beater to reduce discrimination against other former beta testers, as well as actively taking part in Boss battles as one of the Clearers. Kirito temporarily became a member of the Moonlit Black Cats after helping them safely escape a dangerous dungeon, but returned to being a solo player when a fatal error resulted in the death of the other guild members. At some point in the game, Kirito became known as the «Black Swordsman» (黒の剣士, Kuro no Kenshi) due to his tendency to wear black clothing. Near the end of the game, Kirito joined the Knights of the Blood due to losing a wager with its leader, Heathcliff. Kirito eventually put an end to the game by defeating the final boss, thus clearing the game.

桐ヶ谷直葉

Suguha has short black hair and dark grey eyes, almost blackish. Her breasts are very large, even compared to other members of the female cast, although she has grown a lot recently. She also has a cute childish look.

アッシュ・ローラー

Ash Roller (アッシュ・ローラー, Asshu Rōrā) is a burst linker and was Haruyuki's first opponent in the Brain Burst program. He also currently depends on Rin Kusakabe to log in to Accelerated World.

荒谷

Araya (荒谷, Araya) was a bully at Umesato Junior High School. He originally led a gang and picked on Haruyuki Arita until he was expelled and got arrested twice for hitting and injuring Haruyuki and Kuroyukihime and later drove toward them.

ニッケル・ドール

Nickel Doll (ニッケル・ドール, Nikkeru Dōru) is a burst linker who fought against Haruyuki and Akira with her partner, Sand Duct. Her real world identity is currently unknown.

サルファ・ポット

Sulfur Pot is very cocky and confident in his skills. He is especially like this when he has his pet, Nick with him as he states that he is invincible. He treats Nick as a tamed monster pet and can confidently command him to do his bidding. However, this becomes his downfall as he is betrayed by the same monster that he thought of as his pet.
