友利奈緒

Nao Tomori (友利 奈緒, Tomori Nao) is one of the main characters of Charlotte. She is a first-year student and the Student Council president of Hoshinoumi Academy. Nao often uses her camcorder to record the power of ability users for proof and is a huge fan of ZHIEND, her older brother's favorite band.

乙坂有宇

Yuu has dark brown hair, and maroon eyes, various outfits throughout the series but is mostly seen in his Hoshinoumi uniform, which consists of a black jacket and a white under-shirt with a dark blue shirt underneath, black pants, and brown shoes. He is also considered handsome by his peers and friends.

乙坂歩未

Ayumi Otosaka (乙坂 歩未, Otosaka Ayumi) is a main character in Charlotte. She is a middle school student and the younger sister of Shunsuke Otosaka and Yū Otosaka; she idolizes Yusa Nishimori from the band How-Low-Hello.

高城丈士朗

Jōjirō Takajō (高城 丈士朗 Takajō Jōjirō) is a member of the Hoshinoumi Academy student council. He is an ability wielder that can move at very fast speeds.

西森柚咲

Yusa Nishimori (西森 柚咲 Nishimori Yusa), also known as Yusarin and born Yusa Kurobane (黒羽 柚咲 Kurobane Yusa), is one of the main character in the series. She is a member of the student council as well as the the lead vocalist of the band How-Low-Hello where she is a teen idol of sorts and the younger sister of Misa Kurobane.

西森美砂

Misa Kurobane (黒羽 美砂 Kurobane Misa) was the older sister of Yusa Nishimori, who died in a motorcycle accident at the age of only 16 years old - six months prior to the anime's beginning.

熊耳武仁

Kumagami had long light brown hair that covers his eyes, tied in a ponytail, and light violet eyes. He wears the usual school uniform of Hoshinoumi Academy, and he is always seen dripping wet in his uniform when he goes to the student council room as he says it is a requirement to use his ability. This often shocks new student council members; in the first 5 episodes, he appears only briefly to inform the student council members about ability users's whereabouts; in the episode The World that is No Longer Here, he is seen dry rather than dripping wet.

However it is unknown if Yu was able to go back in time and help him again, although the possibility remains as the special shows that certain events may still have happened in between certain episodes it's not exactly for certain however he is seen at the end peacefully holding a personalized ZHIEND CD with Sala Shane's autograph, so it is highly believed that he was helped.

Shichino is a young man with fair skin and blonde hair, parted evenly in the middle with bangs framing it. One strand is a flyaway and drops just below his nose. He has dark brown eyes and is most commonly seen wearing a white short-sleeved collared shirt with the cuffs being light red, a breast pocket on the left right, and a tag showing on the left sleeve. Paired with this he has grey slacks and wears black dress shoes.

白柳弓

She is usually seen wearing the school uniform, consisting of a white dress shirt, a light gray blazer, a green ribbon and a dark gray pleated skirt.
