Laharl may be new to the whole Overlord scene, but with the help of the demon-girl Etna and the angel-ditz Flonne, hefs going to be the best ruler the Netherworldfs ever seen. All he has to do is get by the hordes of halfwit hellions determined to challenge him for the throne, foil an interdimensional plot and keep his own vassals from trying to kill him.

MAINEtna has the appearance of a relatively small and thin-bodied gothic girl, although she resembles a succubus (a female counterpart of the incubus; as well as a fallen angel who committed lust by seducing men in their dreams). She seems to like wearing all things leather such as a collar with a ring on it, with a leather bikini top, a micro mini skirt, arm-length gloves, thigh-high boots, and skull-shaped earings.

MAINFlonne is a character from Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. She's an angel known as a 'Love Freak' who constantly talks about love and believes in its power more than anyone else. When she was an angel trainee she was sent on a mission to Laharl's Netherworld and decided to stay there some time to get to know demons better. Due to various events she ends up being turned into a fallen angel, which is how she appears in most of the games.

MAINLaharl is the protagonist of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. Arrogant and self-centered, Laharl attempts to maintain the attitude of a typical demon. He is actually a half-demon, due to his mother being a human. He is known for his evil laugh which is heard numerous times throughout the series. The first game in the series chronicles his attempt to inherit his title of Overlord after the death of his father, King Krichevskoy, and his eventual discovery of love.
