Nessa is a doppel Clain found while trying to analyze the pendant Phryne left him. Nessa is definitely no ordinary avatar. She looks like a real girl of about ten years old, she can be touched by people she likes, and she can even affect electronics and inanimate objects at will. She’s very fond and protective of Clain, but her curiosity often gets him into trouble. (from official press release) She is voiced by Kana Hanazawa in Japanese and Luci Christian in the English dub.

Phryne

フリュネ

Phryne is a 16-year-old priestess whose escape from the Temple puts the entire Fractale system, which maintains a utopic world, in jeopardy. When Clain rescues her from pursuers, she gives him a pendant full of data and disappears. Sunda Granitz, the leader of the group chasing her, calls Phryne the key to the world. She’s intelligent, yet emotionally reserved, as she is hesitant to get close with anyone because of her peculiar situation. (from official press release) She is voiced by Minami Tsuda in Japanese and Caitlin Glass in the English dub.

Moeran

モーラン

Moeran is the Archpriestess of the temple and a supporter of the fractale system. She is also a Phyrne clone. Even though she has more power than Phyrne, she despises Phyrne because younger clones are often more popular.

Clain Necran

Enri Granitz

Enri is a short, young woman with a round face framed with long blonde hair styled in twin braids with a red headband and ribbons. She has circular, deep blue eyes and thin, arched eyebrows. She has a snaggletooth, and has a set of 3 distinct freckles arranged in an upside down triangular pattern, one on each cheek.

Sunda Granitz

スンダ・グラニッツ

Sunda Granitz is a young man who is the leader of the Granitz family portion of The Lost Millenium, a group that wants to destroy the fractale system. Although he is harsh and brusk when he first meets Clain, he eventually warms up to him and allows him into the Temple to search for Phyrne. While there, he sacrifices himself to allow Clain, Phyrne and Nessa to reach the temple's inner sanctum.

Barrot

バロー

Barrot is a priest in charge of grooming Phryne to make sure she remains the secret to Fractale. He admits at the end of the series that he uses the female clones for his own sexual pleasure, and that he has molested Phryne.
