花戸小鳩

Kobato is considered as a beautiful and cute girl with a rather fair skin tone where her cheeks usually tinged with pink, long red-brown hair that reaches her knees and cuts herself into the more polished sofas around her head. Her eyes are large and shiny, often matching the color of her hair.

いおりょぎ

Ioryogi (いおりょぎ, Ioriyogi), real name Iorogi (五百祇, lit. 500 gods), is one of the main characters of Kobato. and Kobato's companion/mascot.

藤本清和

Kiyokazu Fujimoto (藤本 清和, Fujimoto Kiyokazu) is the deuteragonist of Kobato.. He is an orphan who was adopted by Sayaka's father. Fujimoto is very close to Sayaka, and they are often seen together. Fujimoto also becomes Kobato's love interest in the series, and he was the last person to have his broken heart healed to fill the bottle of candy/confetti in the bottle to grant Kobato's wish.

元弘

Genko was one of Other World master as Ginsei and Ioryogi. Because Genko helped Ioryogi to start a war, to obtain "The thing that Ioryogi wanted no matter what "that was in heaven. They eventually were defeated and for violating the non-aggression pact, Ioryogi was punished to be in a plushie form and to help Kobato, Genko says that this is an unreasonable, impossible and even hurdle than being in a plushie form. Genko was forced to be a bear with a baum-kuchen shop and Ginsei was punished to take an animal form, a rabbit-like one: "The others who participated in that fight each received fitting punishments".

琥珀

Kohaku (琥珀, Kohaku) is one of the main protagonists in Wish series, and one of the supporting and cross-over characters in Kobato. series.

沖浦清花

Sayaka (清花), after her marriage name Sayaka Okiura (冲浦 清花, Okiura Sayaka), is one of the main characters of Kobato. series. She is the ex-wife of Kazuto Okiura whose main role is the manager and teacher of Yomogi Kindergarten and she has known Kiyokazu Fujimoto ever since he was seven when her family adopted him.

三原千世

Just like her sister Chiho Mihara, Chise has long blond hair reaching to her knees, with two pigtails at the front. She has brown eyes. In the anime, she is only seen wearing dresses in white and black. In contrast to Chiho, her dresses have a black background color with white details.

沖浦和斗

Kazuto Okiura (沖浦 和斗, Okiura Kazuto) is a character from the Kobato. series. He is the debt collector of the Yomogi Nursery School, an associate of the yakuza and the ex-husband of Sayaka Okiura.

Takashi Doumoto (堂元 崇, Dōmoto Takashi) is one of the minor characters of Kobato.. He is known for being a friend of Kiyokazu Fujimoto.
