コノエ

Konoe is a young and small cat, and of relatively short stature, something remarked upon often by the rest of the characters—devils and cats alike. Konoe has medium-length, light blonde hair with green (occasionally red) undertones and brownish-orange eyes. Though he would generally be considered average height in reality, he is petite in comparison to the larger cat breeds seen throughout the story and is mocked for it.

ライ

Rai (ライ) is one of the main characters of Lamento. He's a silver-haired cat from the village of Setsura and wears an eyepatch. He's a skilled bounty hunter who wields a swords and a knife. He has a cold attitude. His catchphrase of sorts is calling everyone "baka neko" (stupid cat).

ャサト

Asato has dark skin and black fur. He's extremely socially awkward and has a hard time with crowds and a very simple, almost child-like way of speaking. Despite his awkwardness, he is very loyal and protective of those he likes.

カルツ

Kaltz (カルツ) is a supporting character in Lamento. He is the Devil of Grief and one of the four devils out to devour Konoe. He seems quite disinterested in the affairs of Leaks and the Void and shows no true interest in pursuing Konoe, unlike the other devils.

Razel (ラゼル) is a supporting character in Lamento. He's the Devil of Wrath. He can manipulate fire. Despite his title, he is actually usually calm and collected.
