After separating from Eris, Rudeus falls into the depths of depression. He travels to Rozenberg, the second city of the Principality of Basherant, to search for his missing mother, Zenith. Desperate, Rudeus tries to accept a high-ranking quest alone in order to make a name for himself. However, by chance, he ends up working with a party of B-rank adventurers called the Counter Arrow. One of the party members is a girl named Sara, who reminds him of Eris...!

MAINRudeus Greyrat (ルーデウス・グレイラット, Rūdeusu Gureiratto) is the main protagonist of Mushoku Tensei. He was an overweight 34-year-old Japanese NEET who is reincarnated into another world after being hit by a truck whilst saving some kids. Realizing he wasted away his previous life, he resolves to live this new one to its fullest and the series revolves around how he impacts his new world all whilst slowly growing out of his reclusive ways.

MAINSara is a pretty young girl with light blue eyes and short blond hair during her debut. Her face has a sharp expression and facial features from Asura, such that Rudeus felt like she kind of resembles Eris. She has a slender body with moderate-sized bust.
