Tetsuo is a skinny middle aged man of average height. For most of Part 1 of the series, He often wears business suits and a fedora used to cover an injury given to him by Kyoichi in Episode 3 of the Anime. During the early parts of Part 2 in the manga, he wears the same outfits, but no longer wears his fedora. During the rest of Part 2, Tetsuo sports a large straw hat, a dress shirt, and rubber boots. During Part 3, he has returned to his normal attire of business suits, and during the later half, he wears a Polo shirt and there is a bit of greying in his hair due to stress and aging.

He is the leader of a semi-gangster organization. Formerly a freelance hitman, he is skilled in physical techniques and weapons, and is willing to take action. He has a calm, rational mind and gives instructions to the members of the semi-gang. When Yoshitatsu Matori, who brings in a huge amount of money for the organization, orders him to search for his son Nobuto, he complies.

She is 41 years old, Tetsuo's wife and a good friend. Her parents own a kimono shop called "Kimono no Tosu," which is known as a wealthy family, but they are already isolated from each other. She cares deeply about Tetsuo and Reika, and has the courage to do things that would be unthinkable. And also Tetsou and her wife was blood related. He was her cousin.
