Fujio Akatsuka's most popular work, serialized in Shounen Sunday and other magazines! The six children, Osomatsu, Karamatsu, Choromatsu, Ichimatsu, Jyushimatsu, and Todomatsu, along with Chibita, Iyami, Hatabou, and many other unique characters, all cry and laugh together!
This series helped establish Akatsuka's reputation as a gag comic artist, long before his other popular manga, Tensai Bakabon. Osomatsu-kun has appeared in numerous special issues of Shounen Sunday. Akatsuka has also included several manga adaptations of routines from Charlie Chaplin movies in the series.
Note: Won the 10th Shogakukan Manga Award in 1964.

MAINOsomatsu Matsuno (松野まつのおそ松まつ Matsuno Osomatsu) is the titular character of the series Osomatsu-kun. He is the eldest of the sextuplets and acts as the leader, though he may not always necessarily be the actual protagonist of stories (with that role going to Iyami or Chibita at times instead).

SUPPORTINGIyami (イヤミいやみ, initially seen in kanji as 井矢見いやみ) was created by Fujio Akatsuka and Kenichiro Takai, and is a recurring character in the Osomatsu-kun and Osomatsu-san franchise.
チビ太
SUPPORTINGChibita (チビちび太た), also initially known as simply Chibi or Kan-chan, is a character created by Fujio Akatsuka, appearing in the series Osomatsu-kun. Initially starting out as a supporting character, he soon became a lead in the manga and in the 1988 anime adaptation, and was one of Akatsuka's favorite characters to write for and draw.
