Seiko is a former ace of the detective division who graduated from the police academy at the top of her class and was active in the Investigation Section. She was transferred to the Machiyama Police Station, where she was paired with Mai Kawai as her supervisor. There is a rumor that she was transferred due to power harassment by a junior colleague, but its truth is unknown. She is a competent police officer with good looks that everyone recognizes, but is treated as a gorilla because of her personality and behavior.

Mai is a rookie police officer who works at the Machiyama Police Station. She has no vision or pride in her work as a police officer, and is so fed up with the hard work that she is thinking of resigning. For better or worse, she is pure and straightforward, and she is often at the mercy of the words and actions of suspects and the boys and girls she assists. As she receives guidance from Seiko Fuji, she gradually becomes more positive about her job as a police officer.

Miwa is a member of the First Investigation Section and a classmate of Takeshi Yamada at the police academy. She is known for her steady and careful work, and is trusted by front-line investigators. She is a "Rekijo" (history woman) who loves Ryotaro Shiba and is a Shinsengumi fanatic. She is an eccentric person who became a police officer because she felt that her job was similar to that of the Shinsengumi.

Seiji is a detective in the First Investigation Section and a classmate of Seiko Fuji at the police academy. His trademark is a natural perm. Although they talk lightly to each other, they both recognize each other's abilities as police officers. Although his grades were at the bottom of the class at school, he has a natural ability to grab people's hearts in an instant, and is highly regarded as a "genius of interrogation".

Takeshi is a detective in the Investigation Section 1 who is paired with Seiji Minamoto. He is one term junior to Seiko Fuji and Seiji Minamoto at the police academy. He has been used and treated well since he was in the police academy. He has a sense of justice. He has a sense of justice and wants to help people in need, but he is so focused on the job at hand that he sometimes loses perspective.

Fukushocho is Deputy chief of the Machiyama Police Station. He is a former riot police officer with a skin head and beard. He is a fierce judo player, and takes on the role of instructor in training sessions such as arrest techniques. He also has an unexpected side: he loves Takarazuka. He often thunders at his subordinates who don't follow his orders, but he warmly watches over them as they grow up.
